2016 was quite a year for us. The highlight in our market of Tucson, AZ (and pretty much everywhere) was the tight market. Inventory was extremely low which saw competitive offers, multiple offers and, in some cases, bidding wars on homes under the $300,000 mark.
For 2017, we’re starting off in the same way – low market inventory. A balanced market will have about 6 months of inventory available. Most of last year saw us with 3 months or less. That makes it a seller’s market.
With a low inventory, days on market will be low as well as buyers have to wait for homes that fit their criteria to come online.
